My Best Dressed - Oscars 2013

 The Oscars 2013 Best Dressed!!

 In my opinion anyway...

Now this a the way to wrap up a weekend!!  I had the evening to myself... so I curled up on the couch with my tiny little Chihuahua Bandit on my left, my iPad on my lap and we were set to watch The Oscars!!  Being a girl the Red Carpet is always the highlight of the night!!  Watching all the beautiful people of Hollywood gracefully make their way down the red carpet from one reporter to the next.  All the Beautiful Gowns!!  The Fabulous Tuxedos!!  It's just a little girls dream!!

So what are my favorite looks from tonight's Oscars?

1. Hands down was the Always Beautiful Charlize Theron.  She is absolutely the epitome of Style, Grace and complete Elegance.  This look was so right on the money!! Perfect!  You know how some people will try to pull off wearing a gown either way to old or even worse, way to young for them??  Not the case here....    Her stunning all white gown, adorable short pixie haircut and flawless make up give her Top Honors in my book!!!      She is also one of my favorite actresses of all time too!!!

2. For me, Second place goes to Jennifer Lawrence.  She looked absolutely like a Princess in her pale pink Dior Haute Couture  fairy tale ball gown.  Jennifer's hair, make-up and jewelry were perfect compliment to this gorgeous ensemble topping it off with her sweet soft smile.  Although she tripped on her gown and fell going up to receive her Oscar, she was a vision of loveliness  even making falling look graceful.  And none other than 'Wolverine' himself Hugh Jackman came running to her rescue!!!  Any girls dream!!

 3.  And look look at Anne Hathaway!!!  She is just as Beautiful as can be!! ...Even with Anne's fair completion, she is simply stunning in this pale pink Prada!!  If it had only been light blue she would have looked like the the famous Tiffany's box her magnificent necklace came out of.  Anne was under fire on the social scenes for the cut of this dress and the darts at her chest... but I think it was simply lovely on her.  I agree the darts could have been less 'pointy' ... but none the less... Anne was a timeless classic in Prada last night. And I absolutely Love Love Love her short locks!!!  After her hair being cut off during the taping of 'Les Mesérable', it is growing back beautifully!!  Short is a Very Good Look on you Anne!!

EEEEEEEKS! It's Friday the 13th!

EEEEEEKS!  It's Friday the 13th!!

I have never been a very superstitious person.  Never really took much from the wives tales and and unluckiness of this somehow unlucky day... but today... Today... Friday the 13th is living up to its unlucky name.

It started off by waking up LATE!   Oh how I hate to do that.  I jumped out of bed and kicked it into High Gear!  Hopped into the car and hit the road and traffic really wasn't too bad.  So I wasn't thinking any more of waking up late.  Then get to my office and start plugging in the many cords that it takes to run all the electronics that it takes for me to work... laptop, power cords, usbs, etc... I get to my graphics tablet and nothing!  UGH!  Somehow the drivers have disappeared.  Really?!? This is when I actually look at my desktop and notice the date...  OMG Really... It's Friday the 13th!

No worries!  Like I said.. I'm not that superstitious kinda girl and there is NO Way I'm gonna let the Date on a Calendar to ruin my day.  So, I start the steps, uninstalling, rebooting, reinstalling and Yeah!  I'm back in business!  So Take that Friday the 13th!  I just kicked your rear end.  Now it's on with my day.  And its gonna be a Great One!!  Its Friday.  The weekend starts at 5pm and I'm going to the Indianapolis Indians Home Opener game tonight!

Hope you're having a Fantastic Day!  Remember... its just a date on the calendar... just like the 11th, 12th, 14th & 15th!   And it's All about Attitude!!!  I Choose to have a GREAT day!  I Choose to have a Great attitude about the road blocks and bumps that get in my way.... I almost Always learn something new as I navigate my way around them.

Have a Blessed Day!!

Picture Perfect Thank You Cards

What a Fantastic photo of this Beautiful couple!!! Crystal and DJ are just Picture Perfect here.... but the carriage driver is quite a distraction!! Why is he in this picture??  I'm sure he is a Fantastic guy... but without the distraction of his blue shirt, flip flops and Pepsi cup this photo would be AMAZING.... Check out the Before and After...

After I finished touching up this photo, I used it to design Crystal & DJ's Thank You Cards.  The Thank You Cards were then printed on a 14pt Glossy Card stock with UV coating....the finished product is a Beautiful Photo Quality card that they will be proud to send out to their family and friends.   This is how they turned out:

Do you have a photo you love but it could use a touch up??  You know... that photo that you've always thought..."This photo would be perfect if this or that wasn't in it."   I can help you out with that.  Contact me for more information.   Just click here and fill out the contact form and I'll get right back with you.

Thanks for reading!  I hope you enjoyed seeing how a few little changes can greatly improve  your special photos.

Funny things our pets do

Today while I was zooming around, driving my mouse up and down the highways and byways of our information super-highway I ran across a Tweet from @O_Magazine  that said "How to go from Granny to Goddess with $35".   I'm not a "Granny" ... and I'm certainly  not a "Goddess"... but it sparked my curiosity... so I clicked.  Here is what I saw........ I know... its a puppy in a raincoat!!!  LOL...  I still don't know how to go from Granny to Goddess on 35 bucks...the page had nothing to do with Grannies or Goddesses .... the catchy title did its job though, it got me to click!

Now to you this may not seem so funny but it brought back some very funny memories of a dog I once had... and the rain coat I bought him!!  Now... in my defense... this was PRE children and he was the Very 1st Dog I ever owned in my life!!  I was 21 years old and his name was Rockie... a really awesome little Miniature Schnauzer... And of course... I spoiled him to pieces!!  Why this particular picture struck me so funny is this is exactly how Rockie looked when I would put his cute little yellow rain coat on.... but he wouldn't move in it... he would stand perfectly still ... for as long as I left the raincoat on him!  So even though he did not like the rain... I couldn't get him to walk and wear the rain coat at the same time... so going out for a potty break was just way too much for me to ask from the poor little guy!!

My daughter is now 21 years old and will be getting her very first puppy, Apollo,  at the end of this month!  She is already following in my footsteps.... Just the other day she told me she already has his personalized dog tags, a comfy harness, and a few other things to get him started!!  I'm so happy for her and cant wait to see and hear all her funny doggie stories!!

Do you have a funny doggie story to share??  I'd love to hear it!

As always....

Sunday rolled around way too fast!

I'm still smiling though!!  After the Insanely Busy week of designing I had last week, I was so ready for this weekend to get here!  I was also very excited because my oldest daughter was coming home from Purdue for a visit Friday night on her way to an out of town wedding on Saturday.   It was Absolutely Fabulous to get to spend some time with her.  When her and I are together we Love to cook!!  So we hopped in the car and made a quick trip to the Kroger just down the street to pick up a few things.  Headed back home and the cooking, cutting, chopping, stirring, sauteing, frying and grilling began!!  We talked and laughed and had a fantastic meal together!!  What an absolutely wonderful young woman she has grown into!!  I'm really having a hard time believing that she will be celebrating her 21st Birthday next week!!  My first baby girl is all grown up!!!  And I couldn't be prouder of her!!! I am truly Blessed to have her, to be her "Mama" and to have all the wonderful memories of days gone by and I look forward to all the future memories we will make, share and cherish together forever!!

It's been a pretty great weekend!!  With some much needed rest!  A fabulous bicycle ride around downtown Indianapolis this morning and now I'm getting geared up to get back to work!!  I have some pretty awesome projects to work on this week!!  I can't wait to see what I come up with!!!

Have a Terrific Sunday!!  and as always....

The Pencil Maker's 5 little lessons

A friend of mine shared the following on her FB page today... 5 little lessons that are so important... we all need a little reminding from time to time.... I really enjoyed this... and yes... it did make me smile!  Thanks for Sharing Tracie!

A PENCIL MAKER TOLD THE PENCIL 5 IMPORTANT LESSONS JUST BEFORE PUTTING IT IN THE BOX :

1.) EVERYTHING YOU DO WILL ALWAYS LEAVE A MARK.
2.) YOU CAN ALWAYS CORRECT THE MISTAKES YOU MAKE.
3.) WHAT IS IMPORTANT IS WHAT IS INSIDE OF YOU.
4.) IN LIFE, YOU WILL UNDERGO PAINFUL SHARPENINGS, WHICH WILL ONLY MAKE YOU BETTER.
5.) TO BE THE BEST PENCIL, YOU MUST ALLOW YOURSELF TO BE HELD AND GUIDED BY THE HAND THAT HOLDS YOU.

We all need to be constantly sharpened. This parable may encourage you to know that you are a special person, with unique God-given talents and abilities. Only you can fulfill the purpose which you were born to accomplish. Never allow yourself to get discouraged and think that your life is insignificant and cannot be changed and, like the pencil, always remember that the most important part of who you are, is what's inside of you.

As stated above... Always remember the most important part of who you are is inside of you.

Wishing you all a Beautiful Sunday.... and as always...
